city

The City. Is. Amazing.

I miss home, of course, very much. But it's a new place so that's exciting. I've been super busy, too, so that's distracted me some. The things I've done so far goes as follows:

- The audition at the agency went well, I didn't mess up my monologues, and they said I'd hear from them but I haven't yet.

- I saw a show by a company thing called "Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind". If you haven't heard of it, look it up they're AMAZING! Best thing I've experienced in awhile.

- We've had rehearsals everyday for "flash mob performances". Our group did a piece where we lay down and play kazoos and then stand up and lean different ways and then play "Bad Romance" by Lady Gaga on the kazoo and it's AWESOME!

- Tomorrow night is Casino Night, where we all dress up and play games for free, it's gonna be super fun.

I'll let you know more when more happens. LOVE. <3

Well, DUH! I'll bet you've already guessed who hadn't read the blog when you received a call.

Glad you're having an interim introduction time to the college and the city. I fell in love with Chicago when I came up for Christmas when the twins were one month old. You and I went out to buy a Christmas tree in Champ-Ur., and you wouldn't talk to me; but you'd sing along with whatever I sang as we drove around and laugh, and laugh. Remember, communication was my speciality, and I fought for it with you---and others as well.

It's funny that your going away to college has evoked so many memories. I'm enjoying it, and I hope you are building wonderful memories as well.

Love you.

P.S. We found a very memorable tree that had to be hauled up with a rope over the balcony because it was too big to take up the stairway. Absolutely Awesome!

I did a workshop in January with the Neofuturists. That was my birthday present to myself. They do a gig at Woolly Mammoth in DC every December and I've been trying to decide whether or not to try and drag Lit to see TMLMTBGB. As you know, it's never the same show twice. and it's fantastic.

I'm really happy you discovered them so quickly. I was gonna let you settle in a bit before hounding you to get involved with them.

Love love love you!

Thanks Lit, I enjoy the memories as well. ;)

I know Goo! They are absolutely amazing. I'm in love with what they do, and I'd kill to do that someday. You really should take Lit, it's such a good time!

No need to resort to violence. You live in their hometown. Workshops and classes are posted on their website, just keep an eye out...

Chicago is an awesome city. It has great architecture, museums, history, food, and the list goes on. I hope you have time periodically to get out and explore.
