Film Festival

I know, I know, it's been way too long, but ok, I feel I have to write about the film festival.

So, today was the premiere of my film. It was awesome, at first we had the pre-party, where I just stood around with my friend and ate some yummy food. But it was fun, and very "posh". Then we went to the theatre, where I introduced the film, and I think I sounded really nervous but that's ok. I didn't sound scripted, which I think is better. Then we watched some other films, mine was third, in a series of four shorts. Then it was a feature, called "The Black Balloon" which was AMAZING! It was a drama about an Australian family, with two boys, one of them autistic, but it's also a love story. It was phenomenal. I want to own it. It starred Toni Colette, don't know if I spelled that right. But yes, outstanding, is what I voted for for the people's choice awards, which was the highest choice. And it was just overall fabulous. Then outside we took pictures. We had dinner. Then I had a live interview with Eastlink, but the reporter was so nice and friendly and funny, and just made it really easy and relaxing. I mean it was only like three our four minutes long. But he even asked about my tattoo, which was cool. I thought it all went pretty well. I know this isn't terribly detailed or anything, but I'm off to another film, so I'm kind of in a hurry. Hope to tell more about it later. LOVE to all of you. :) <3

Last Week

So last week was pretty crazy. On Wednesday I saw The Producers at the local theatre (Neptune). It was awesome and hilarious. If you haven't seen the movie you really should cuz it has Nathan Lane, Matthew Broderick, Uma Thurman, and Will Ferrel and it is soooo funny. It's a little over the top but it just makes it that much more enjoyable. So anyway, I saw that on stage for English class and I can't stop smiling it was so good. It's nice to go to something like that for school because you realize your classmates aren't all that immature and rude, seeing as how they knew when to clap and they didn't talk through the whole thing! Some of the songs were extended too so I didn't know every line of the thing, which is good. Anyway, that night we had a coffeehouse at school which is basically they set up couches and chairs and students (and teachers) can perform songs and such. But they don't actually serve coffee...yeah it's weird. So my dance teacher sang "The First Cut Is The Deepest" and "Big Yellow Taxi" which was just amazing because she's really good and so beautiful. And then the next day we went to the dance room for lunch and told her to sing for us and she sang those songs again and then a bunch that she wrote from this huge binder that is full of songs that she wrote and they are so good. She has an awesome voice and I think she should've pursued a music career. Anyway, that was tight. Then thursday was the outdoor dance, except it wasn't outdoor. Whatever. But they had foam in the dance part (basically just bathtub suds but from a machine like a smoke machine but foam). That was sticky but fun. Then upstairs they had a bouncy house, a blow-up twister game, like enlarged, a bouncy obstacle course thing which is so fun and a remote control car race track. Anyway it was a blast. Outside they had one of those dunker things where we dunked teachers. And the sold hotdogs which were really good. And at the end they had a firework show. It was basically a whole carnival/fair. It was so fun!! I really wanted to update everybody on my week. LOVE.

trip to U-town

I warn you, it's long.

Saturday: The peeps dropped me off at my best friend's house first thing, and I walked in, yelled her name, met her half way on the stairs, and we had a very emotional reuniting. I then went to the Easter Vigil service inside the almost completed chapel, and reunited with all the amazing church people, but most importantly my big bro. After the service we went back to Polio's apartment and played some rock band and just chilled.

Sunday: We went to church in the morning, then I separated from them for a couple days. Right after church though I went back to the best friend's house from before and unpacked my stuff (I was staying with her by the way). We went to a friend's surprise party in the park, which was so much fun recieving running hugs and such, even though it was pretty darn cold. I did go to a church party Easter get together thing, and the family was there but right after that I went to a play, that my best friend's brother is in: The Lieutanant Of Inishmore. It was really gory and hilarious, with irish accents and vulgar language.

Monday: My friend who I was staying with and her sister took the day off from school and we went shopping. I got some cream, heeled cowboy boots which are so hot. I also got a black lacey dress, and an oh-so-80's black leather jacket. I went into the school when people were getting out and some people didn't even recognize me, but others I got a very warm welcome from. I then went to one of the branches of the sub shop that Polio works at, and had my favorite sandwich. That night I guest starred in a drama rehearsal, standing in for people who weren't there, because the choreographer loves me, so I got to dance and see all my lovely drama people. It was exciting!!!

Tuesday: I actually went to school for the whole day, even though almost every single teacher asked me if I had a visitors pass from the office and I said no, so they sent me away. But there were a few teachers I knew I could rely on to take me in without question so I just hung out with them before lunch. Then I had lunch. Then I went out to lunch and met one of my friends girlfriends. When I came back there was a soccer game, which the friend I was staying with was playing in, so I watched that. I also had dance rehearsal that night. After that I went with my other friend to meet his boyfriend and it was awesome.

Wednesday: I slept in, then took a nice long shower, and danced around the room while getting ready. But then I went to lunch with Polio and his girlfriend, and another friend. Then me and the friend went walking around campus taking pictures and talking about boys. That night I also had dance rehearsal, but that was after vocal rehearsal. By the way, the musical they're doing is All Shook Up. If you don't know it, it's like the plot of Twelfth Night, with all Elvis Presley songs. It's fun! That night was the chick I was staying with's mom's birthday, so we celebrated that, then went to the play again, it was even funnier the second time. Except for the audience was like all old people who thought the humor was too violent so my group was the only one laughing, and I'm really loud, so it was a fun time!

Thursday: I went into school again, but didn't get kicked out because this time I actually had a pass, because I was 'job shadowing' the photography teacher. I'm really tight with her and she let me just hang with my friends. So I did. That day I went to another soccer game of my friends, then dance rehearsal, then went to visit another friend that I hadn't seen the whole time I'd been there.

Friday: I woke up late again and did the shower/dance routine. Then I went shopping with the friend from the past night, I didn't get anything, except he bought me a really cool calendar of the history of the town, so that was nice. Then I visited another friend, went to dance rehearsal, then went to a friend from church's birthday party. That was really fun. It was a sleepover.

Saturday: This day I went to the chick I was staying with's sister, who I love, her soccer game. It was sunny but cold. Then we all went shopping in a big group of people, to the mall. I missed it. Then we all went to dinner at the amazing thai resturant. Loved it. Then we got ice cream. Then we went to a friends' concert. Then we all went to a friend's house and watched The Office, and died our hair purple. It was awesome. I went to bed at like five.

Sunday: I said goodbye to people, I cried so much. That was after church; which was before we went to lunch at the tightass mexican resturant. Then we went to Polio's work and said goodbye. Then we hit the road. It was a sad time. That day. But the whole trip was amazing and awesome and couldn't have been better, except maybe seeing a few more people and shopping more and going to more resturants. But other than that it was tight. I don't really need to comment on the trip in the car because Plug already did that. Thanks for listening, leave comments. LOVE. :)

Bonding Moments

There are just some things that you take for granted, until they become a bonding moment between you and somebody else. Just little, everyday things.

1.) Being really afraid of a recurring noise.

2.) Watching a little kitten chase her own tail.

3.) Eating burnt popcorn.

4.) Being locked out of the house.

5.) Tripping up the stairs.

Know what I mean? Just things we don't even think about or realize until afterwards.

peace rally

This isn't one I actually attended but my friends were at it. It was in Chicago and if I would've been in the country I would've been there! So just wanted to share them with you because they made me cry, they are so beautiful:

There are so many people it makes me so happy!

I love that sign and the flag in the background!

This is my favorite symbol in the whole wide world..........
