1 year anniversary

So this past Saturday, October the tenth, was Captain AJ Soulpatch and my one year anniversary. We had a marching band competition Saturday afternoon, and got done at about 5:30. Then after that, the night was up to him. He had planned something that was a complete surprise for me, and I had planned something for him Sunday afternoon. Here's what went down:

He picked me up and drove me to his house. When I walked in the door he told me to close my eyes while he "finished up" which meant light candles and turn off the lights. Then he steered me over to the dinner table, and revealed a home-made dinner of pesto pasta, shrimp, salad, and bread. On my set plate was gift in a tiny gift bag. The dinner was amazing! And the gift was the newest iPod nano, with a video camera built in, radio, color, and a longer screen. IT IS AWESOME! He's ridiculous. In a good way. I love him. :) <3

What I did on Sunday was make him his favorite meal: Spicy Buffalo Wings (with bleu cheese), Fries, Macaroni & Cheese, and Milk. He loved it. Then we went to Curtis Orchard, which is the local apple orchard/pumpkin patch/corn maze and all that jazz. It is all the rage this time of year, and it was packed. They are famous for their apple crisp donuts, which are the ONLY donuts I eat, and I only eat two, once a year. All in all it was a fantastic anniversary, and I'm more and more in love everyday!

LOVE to you all.

Good Lord! If I'd had your high school life I probably would have been bored to death with college. Fortunately, I didn't.

I remember Curtis Orchard where I thought Easel, Sandbox, and Dagromm Jr. would give me a heart attack as they went in three different directions at once the last time I visited your state.

Congratulations on your anniversary.

Rake left out the part where she and Soulpatch had to come bring me some gasoline because I had run out of gas on the highway home (I had just tackled that mountain of paperwork noted in my blog). Thankfully I wasn't far away and they could get back to the festivities. Aren't they a cute midwestern couple?

Does midwestern mean the focus is on the cuisine on the table? It's a difficult decision, but I guess I'm with that over who's going to take care of the baby. Not too subtle, am I?

How are we a "cute midwestern couple"? Well, I know how we're cute. But I don't get how you would specifically define us as midwestern. Oh Curtis Orchard...LOVE. <3
